Part-Time Clinical Psychologist

Peace of Mind Psychological Services is a private practice in Alpharetta that provides psychological evaluations to address academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns, as well as individual and family therapy. Our mission is to help clients with “finding peace in every circumstance” by serving the entire family. We are seeking a part-time psychologist to join our team and aid us in expanding our therapeutic services, as this job is a combination of providing psychological evaluations and therapy. There is also an opportunity to treat adult clients and develop groups.
Job Qualifications include:
- Must be licensed in the state of Georgia with a Psy.D. or Ph.D.
- Must have at least two years of experience (post-licensure) completing psychological evaluations and providing individual and family therapy services.
- Strong report writing skills
- Able to provide work samples associated with experience in completing psychological evaluations
- Extensive knowledge of the DSM-5 and basic testing tools utilized, including cognitive, academic, and personality measures
- Experience assessing and diagnosing various diagnoses, including (but not limited to) behavioral issues (ADHD, ODD), mood disorders (depression), anxiety, trauma, social skills issues, and learning disabilities
- Experience working with children as young as 4 through adulthood
- Experience in providing therapeutic services and experience in utilizing different theoretical orientations based on the needs of the client
- Already on or willing to participate with insurance panels, the practice is in network with
- Available to work some evening hours
- Job Responsibilities include:
- Completing diagnostic intakes, assessments, and feedback sessions for clients requesting psychological evaluations
- Providing individual, family, and/or group therapy to clients based on their specific needs
- Collaborating with referral sources and/or professionals involved in client care when necessary
- Development of treatment plans and completion of appropriate paperwork and documentation, such as progress notes, safety plans, etc.
- Attending staff/consultation meetings quarterly
